The Titanic

Picture
The R.M.S. Titanic was a legend in the making before its construction even began. With rumors spreading that the Titanic was "the largest unsinkable ship of its time", it was sure to be a huge success. Sadly, this was quite wrong. After putting in 7.5 million dollars into three years of building the ship, the Titanic only enjoyed five days on the ocean before it sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic, making sure to take almost 1,500 lives with it.
The Titanic's crash set off a world of panic. Worried citizens surrounded the newspaper offices of New York, waiting for the latest news about the "unsinkable" ship that just happend to sink. People watched and waited to see if their loved ones had survived the dreadful crash. Interviews were held with survivors of the Titanic to find out who sank the ship.
However, the Titanic's publicity did not last long. It faded from most people's interests within months. But, the historians did not forget about the crash. In fact, they discovered the sunken ship 73 years after it sunk; deep under water, laying in two clean cut pieces. Now, with their theories and questions being answered by the actual ship, historians interests have sprung into action, and we will now journey through the life and death of
The Titanic.
